TREASURE Will Open the New Year with Thier Official Debut Album… Title Track ‘MY TREASURE’
[스포츠월드=정가영 기자] ‘YG’s major rookie group’ TREASAURE will comeback with their new song, ‘MY TREASURE’.
TREASURE, scheduled to release their official debut album next month on the 11th, revealed the title poster for their album today(31st). The title song is named ‘MY TREASURE’.
YG Entertainment(hereby YG) introduced, “The song’s lyrics contains meaning that everyone is a unique treasure-like being, which gives a hopeful message of ‘Let’s cheer up in hard times. The sun will rise and shine again tomorrow’”.
After making debut this year on August, TREASURE has released 3 singles including ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, and ‘MMM’, which led to their busy schedule. The common factor on these 3 songs is that they all sing about love and contains performance-based fierce sounds. However, their title track ‘MY TREASURE’ from their official debut album is a bright Pop-genre song being presented by TREASURE for the first time.
Like the lyrics ‘A racehorse only running forward’ from ‘MMM’, TREASURE has progressed nonstop without break for the past 5 months. They are finally about to reach their first destination, which is their official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’. The 12 members smiling in front of a large cake on the ‘MY TREASURE’ title poster implies the same mood.
YG explained, “Since the globe is going through hard times and it’s a situation which the people can’t even enjoy the Christmas and year-end vibes, we used a commemorative photo full of smiles taken on a MV set rather than a teaser image with a cool design”.
YG added, “Through the song ‘MY TREASURE’, we hope that the fans who have been supporting TREASURE and people out there suffering will be consoled”.
TREASURE recently has won the Rookie of the Year Award at the ‘2020 Asia Artist Awards’ as well as winning the honor of receiving the Best New Male Artist Award and a Main Award at the ‘2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards’. They are now expecting to take a higher leap in 2021.
The official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ by TREASURE, the global super rookies of the year, will be released on January 11. Physical copies will become available on January 12 through YG SELECT and nationwide retailers online and offline.
