TREASURE’s Fairytale Fantasy Heals You Just by Watching… ‘MY TREASURE’, A Song That Will Shake Off the Depression From COVID19
[OSEN=김은애 기자] TREASURE(CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, SO JUNG HWAN) presented a warm healing moment with their bright energy.
On January 11 at 6 PM, TREASURE released their official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ through various music platform. It is the finale of TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series.
The title track ‘MY TREASURE’ presents bright and positive energy as soon as the listener plays the track. It reminds us that we are all precious and are treasure-like beings. The boys’ hopeful messages ringing throughout various instruments from strings to brass stand out. Rappers CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI, and HARUTO co-wrote the lyrics of the song, putting in their sincere hearts.
‘MY TREASURE’ is indeed a song that energizes you and makes you feel good in these hard times. TREASURE consoles and cheers up the listeners through their lyrics, “Don’t worry about a thing/ Do what you want to do/ Enjoy it/ Let them see” and “Don’t worry/ Passionate smile one more time!/ You’re prettier when you smile/ Cheer up/ We’ll eventually shine/ Open your eyes”.
The MV for ‘MY TREASURE’ also presents a hopeful mood and TREASURE’s lively charms. TREASURE completed a fairytale fantasy-like MV through sensuous visuals. The fresh yet witty CG also impresses the viewers.
TREASURE, with even more handsome visuals, show off their cuteness utilizing various props such as umbrellas and books. The members dancing with numerous dancers in pastel-tone suits make the viewers feel as if they are watching a musical.
TREASURE also cheers up the students who are having a hard time due to the COVID19. They bring in lively energy into the classroom.
As TREASURE has been receiving favorable reviews for their dominant group dance, the performance on ‘MY TREASURE’ is also a factor to pay attention to. TREASURE cutely touch their cheeks and present a more relaxed yet energetic group dance. The members’ witty facial expression acting also impresses the viewers.
Their album contains 10 songs, while the physical album contains 12 songs. There are 3 all-new tracks. The title track ‘MY TREASURE’ along with ‘BE WITH ME’ and ‘SLOWMOTION’ are placed on no. 1~3.
Furthermore, the album includes ‘GOING CRAZY’, the signal song from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, along with a piano version of ‘I LOVE YOU’ and a rock version of ‘MMM’, which are exclusive to physical albums(CD). All songs from ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series have been included on their official debut album.
Moreover, the song ‘SLOWMOTION’ was co-written·composed by LEE CHAN HYUN of AKMU, the group’s senior artist from the same agency. It is known that LEE CHAN HYUK approached TREASURE first and told them that he would like to gift them the song, which raises the people’s curiosities.
Furthermore, under the fullhearted support of YG producers, the members were credited in the track list as well. CHOI HYUN SUK and HARUTO participated in writing the lyrics and rap making for all songs except for track no. 10 ‘GOING CRAZY’, while YOSHI was credited for a total of 10 songs.
