TREASURE Challenges Web Drama Acting for the First Time… SECHSKIES Appear as Panels
[서울경제=추승현 기자] Group TREASURE will challenge web drama acting for the first time.
On February 26, YG Entertainment uploaded TREASURE’s self-produced reality show ‘TREASURE MAP Season 2’ episode 35 through their official blog. The episode showed the members of TREASURE taking the web drama casting audition, which is a tradition among artists of YG.
While there were odd tension among the members who have filled out their application forms sincerely, members JUNKYU, JIHOON, BANG YE DAM, and YOON JAE HYUK entered the audition room as group 1. The ‘legendary first-generation acting-dol’ EUN JIWON and JANG SUWON of SECHSKIES appeared as special judges, surprising the members of TREASURE.
When the audition began, the members acted with wit, presenting facial expression acting, imitating well-known scenes, and even situational acting.
JIHOON made the judges burst into laughter with his ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ look, with his upper face looking angry and his lower face smiling. He also made the panel cheer with his passionate acting while doing a theatre of situations.
The audition for group 2 finally began. The group was consisted of members SO JUNG HWAN, CHOI HYUN SUK, MASHIHO, and ASAHI. SO JUNG HWAN, who was the only member with experience in acting, grabbed the panel’s attention in an instant with his ‘house turn’. MASHIHO presented b-boy dancing and freeze action, while ASAHI received ‘thumbs up’ for his realistic act of dying.
Members DOYOUNG, YOSHI, PARK JEONG WOO, and HARUTO of group 3 presented their ‘signature’ acting. DOYOUNG began with his juice squeezing face as well as going back and forth from a cold bath to a warm bath, showing off his ‘human rainbow’ character. YOSHI acted a cocky rich boy, PARK JEONG WOO did an impromptu situational act, while HARUTO made the fans’ hearts flutter with his zoning out act along with his wink.
Meanwhile, the cookie clip at the end of the episode revealed roles of TREASURE members on a web drama titled, ‘It’s ok, it’s friendship’, which gathered the people’s attention. The viewers are looking forward to the acting they will present on the next episode of ‘TREASURE MAP’.
