YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Joins Weverse… Strengthens Global Fan Communication
[YTN Star=곽현수 기자] Rookie group TREASURE will hold hands with Weverse, the global fan community platform, and open a community.
TREASURE will become the first artist from YG Entertainment to join Weverse, and will begin communicating with the global fans prior to making their official Japanese debut. Since they have been closely connected to the ‘Treasure Makers(fandom)’ even before making debut, the group plans to communicate with their fans closer and to share their gratitude.
After making debut with their first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ last year on August, TREASURE received attention as a major group targeting the global market. Under YG’s fast·concentrated strategy, they’ve actively released 4 of ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series albums during the period of approximately 5 months.
TREASURE has reached over 1M in total album sales with ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series, while title tracks ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, ‘MMM’, and ‘MY TREASURE’ have been placed on the top ranks of major charts in and out of Korea.
The group will make their official Japanese debut on the 31st. They’ve topped the Weekly chart of Line Music, the biggest music platform in Japan, with their pre-released song ‘BOY’, while the other 3 pre-released songs entered the top ranks, heating up for the group’s upcoming sensation.
YG has previously announced that they will strengthen their strategic partnership with Big Hit Entertainment and Weverse Company, making the people look forward to their positive synergy effects in various fields of business. YG plans to form an innovative model which will present new experience for the fans, as well as utilizing TREASURE’s global presence to raise their influence.
Meanwhile, Weverse will hold 2 relay hashtag events until April 10, to celebrate TREASURE’s community opening. People who would like to participate first event, being held until April 2, should upload a greeting message for TREASURE and the Treasure Makers with hashtags ‘#HI_TREASUREMAKER’ ‘#HI_TREASURE’ as a post.
The second event, being held from April 6~10 can be participated by capturing a scene from ‘TREASURE MAP’, TREASURE’s self-produced reality program’, and upload as a post with the hashtag ‘#MY_TREASUREMAP’. Weverse will gift a polaroid photo of TREASURE members through a draw among the relay event participants.
