YG Rookie Girl Group BABYMONSTER Unveils First Member HARAM…Unrivaled Live Skills
[OSEN=선미경 기자] A live video of YG’s next-generation new girl group BABYMONSTER has been unveiled for the first time, grabbing the attention of music fans from around the world.
YG Entertainment put up a video titled ‘BABYMONSTER -HARAM (Live Performance)’ on their official social media on the 12th. HARAM, who was the first to be unveiled to the public among the trainees, reinterpreted ‘Let Me Love You’ by Mario in her own way.
It was unbelievable that she was only 15, given her emotions and vocal abilities. Without any extravagant stage setting, she filled the space with her soulful voice with the subtle piano sounds playing in the background. Her stage was more than enough to steal the hearts of fans, as she sang without missing a breath and showed detailed emotions.
The highlight was the part where she controlled her sounds towards the end of the song. HARAM was completely into the music and showed what YG’s traditional vocals are all about with her unrivaled live skills and emotional expressions.
Earlier, YG expressed their plans to release information on the members one by one through continuous promotion, beginning with their surprise introduction video on the 1st of January. Curiosity is running high about the other 6 trainees that will follow HARAM, and what kind of content they’ll be releasing.
YG’s launch of a girl group comes in about 7 years. YG has been working hard on their next generation girl group so they can follow the path of BLACKPINK, who have established themselves as the world’s top artist. Attention is now drawn to how BABYMONSTER will hit the global music market in 2023.
