On April 19 (local time), BIGBANG officially announced plans for a 20th-anniversary world tour during its set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, U.S.A., one of the world’s largest music festivals.
Across two performance sets, BIGBANG not only proved its enduring stage presence, but G-DRAGON personally revealed, “BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary world tour will begin this August,” drawing enthusiastic cheers from the global audience in attendance.
Given that the announcement was made at Coachella, the world’s largest music festival, it is being seen as especially significant with an exceptional level of impact. Despite it being the group’s first performance in years, BIGBANG ranked as the 5th most-searched artist of Coachella 2026 worldwide, while major global media outlets, such as Forbes, Billboard, and the L.A. Times, unanimously praised the performance, proving the group’s unwavering relevance.
With BIGBANG’s debut date falling on August 19, launching its world tour in the very same month as its 20th anniversary holds great symbolic meaning. As a group that has long defined YG’s musical identity, there are also expectations that this 20th anniversary milestone will go beyond a simple celebration and serve as an opportunity to solidify its presence in the global market.
In line with BIGBANG’s upward momentum, a series of activities from YG’s major artists is also set to unfold.
