American Cable TV FUSE Spotlights BIGBANG’s T.O.P… “His Handsome Look Appeals Globally”
[OSEN=이혜린 기자] American cable channel FUSE TV is drawing attention by introducing BIGBANG member T.O.P by saying, “His handsome look is globally famous”.
American music channel FUSE TV has been introducing YG Entertainment’s artists one by one in its special feature for the year 2014, “FUSE LOVES SEOUL: From K-Pop to Hip Hop”. In the article published on the 15 this month (local time), it introduced T.O.P by saying, “There are many super hip-hop groups in America and there is BIGBANG in Korea. If you are looking for the best rapper in Korea, it is certainly T.O.P. His handsome look is famous globally”.
FUSE TV went on to say, “One million people cast their votes to him for “Sexiest Male Musician of 2013” and Rolling Stone has even called him one of the hottest sex symbols of 2013”.
FUSE TV also stated, “Meanwhile, 26-year-old rapper T.O.P has shown a wholly different aspect in his new single ‘DOOM DADA’. In the music video of ‘DOOM DADA’ which can be called the strangest video of 2013, T.O.P in a Neanderthal man’s look and a mustache with curled-up ends seats on a zebra or rides a motor cycle with a giant crying baby”.
FUSE TV also introduced BIGBANG as “a K-Pop boy band whose name is the most famous globally. This mega-popular group has recorded more than 500 million views on YouTube Channel since its debut in 2006, held two sold-out world tours in the United States, and its recent album entered the Billboard top 200 list. Plus, BIGBANG beat Britney Spears to receive ‘Best Worldwide Act’ at 2011 MTV EMA”.
Then, FUSE said, “BIGBANG has become the face of K-Pop in the West. Recently, GQ magazine has selected G-DRAGON as the “week’s best dressed male’. G-DRAGON has given a joint performance with Missy Eliot in K-Concert recently held in LA”.
FUSE TV asked BIGBANG a question that went “BIGBANG attributes your global success to your label YG. How does YG support you?”, and TAEYANG answered, “It’s YG’s producers who give the biggest support to artists. They are the ones who know what an artist wants when producing an album the best”.
Starting from introduction of 2NE1 on the 13 and YG Entertainment on the 14, FUSE TV has covered T.O.P and BIGBANG on the 15 and TAEYANG on the 16. It will go on to Epik High on the 21 and Lee Hi on the 22. YG’s new boy group WINNER who is soon to make a debut was covered in the feature story about YG Entertainment on the 14.
