YG’s New Boy Group WINNER Was Chosen as Clothing Brand Endorser before Official Debut
[이데일리 스타in 박미애 기자] YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s new boy group WINNER was selected as the endorser of a clothing brand. The news is drawing a big attention as the contract was signed ever before the group’s official debut.
Early this month, WINNER signed an exclusive endorsement contract with “NII”, a trendy casual clothing brand of SEJUNG & FUTURE Co., Ltd., and shot the poster for the brand’s spring collection for 2014.
WINNER shot their first-ever advertisement photography with photographer Kim Jewon and BIGBANG’s stylist Jieun, for a concept of “WINNER gathered in class 1 of grade 1”, which means a key word for a new start.
WINNER boasted their cheerful and fresh appeal in NII’s colorful and trendy spring collection including safari jacket, character T-shirts, and knit, with props that remind childhood. They created fun scenes for photos, playing “arm-wrestling” and “tug-of-war”. Even though the shooting was done overnight, WINNER consistently made the atmosphere friendly and energetic, thus being praised by the staff.
The brand’s insider said, “We selected WINNER because WINNER is a group who has a big potential. We expect that they will create a new and fresh image for NII brand”. “WINNER members exerted their full potential and talent at the shooting even though it was the first-ever poster shooting for them. It is hard to see a model who does the job this well recently”, added he.
WINNER is a boy group of five members, KANG SEUNGYOON, NAM TAEHYUN, KIM JINWOO, LEE SEUNGHOON, and SONG MINHO, from Team A of YG’s survival audition show “WIN”, who won the final battle.
Lately, WINNER has been appearing in “WIINER TV”, a show aired on cable channel Mnet and search engine NAVER’s TV CAST on every Friday at 10pm. WINNER is now preparing for their official debut.
