AKMU’s all 11 songs in top 20: Tops 5 category on Gaon Charts
[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] The sibling duo AKDONG MUSICIAN (AKMU, with members LEE CHAN HYUK & LEE SOO HYUN) topped 5 category on Gaon Charts, including the overall digital chart.
On April 17th, the officially recognized Gaon Chart unveiled the ranking of overall digital charts of the 3rd week of April (April 6th to 12th).
AKMU received 39.21 million points of downloads and streaming on Gaon Digital Chart with one of their triple title tracks “200%” from the album “PLAY” released on April 7th, ranking at the very top.
“200%” also topped Gaon’s BGM chart. The entire album “PLAY” ranked #1 on Gaon Album Chart as well, and thus AKMU swept across a total of 5 category just this week.
But that’s not the end.
Their other title track “GIVE LOVE” and “MELTED” ranked #4 and 5, while “ARTIFICIAL GRASS,” “LITTLE STAR,” and “DON’T HATE ME” were listed from #9 to 12 in order. Other songs “GALAXY,” “HAIR PART,” “ANYWAY” and “IDEA” were also lined up from #14 to 17.
AKMU proved themselves the “grandeur rookies” by listing all of the 11 songs within the top 20 of Gaon Digital Chart. This creates more hype as every single song was written and composed by LEE CHAN HYUK.
On April 14, “200%” had already topped April’s 2nd week chart on Melon, Mnet, Naver, Daum, Olleh Music, Soribada and Genie.
Other artists on the Gaon Digital Chart in the 3rd week of April were High4 and IU’s “Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms” at #2, Yoon Minsoo and Shin Yongjae’s “Fate” at #3, Mad Clown’s “Without You” featuring Hyorin at #6, APink’s “Mr. Chu” at #7 and Park Hyo Shin’s “Wild Flower” at #8.
