PSY X Snoop Dogg’s “HANGOVER” unveils on June 8
[OSEN=박현민 기자] PSY will be unveiling his advance-release song “HANGOVER” on June 8 (American time).
At 7 pm (eastern time) on June 8 in the U.S., PSY will be making an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night” with Snoop Dogg to unveil his advance-release song “HANGOVER,” along with its music video. He will be part of the talk show and show a skit as well.
“Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night” is a special episode of the show that is aired right before the NBA Finals, and it usually attracts twice as many viewers than usual. Considering that it is aired in prime time, PSY will surely be spotlighted when he appears on the show.
PSY will unveil the music video of “HANGOVER” first on the live show and then upload it on his official YouTube channel. At midnight on June 9 (1 pm on June 9, Korean time) the track will be released in the U.S. and around the world simultaneously and exclusively through iTunes.
“HANGOVER,” of hiphop genre, is completely different from “GANGNAM STYLE” or “GENTLEMAN,” and will be a track that shows a different side of PSY. Receiving help from the hiphop icon Snoop Dogg surely makes it easier for PSY to enter the hiphop market. After the release of “HANGOVER,” he will release his summer title track soon.
PSY brings us another good news: “GANGNAM STYLE” attracted 2 billion viewers on YouTube. On May 31, his video hit a whopping 2.214 billion views on the largest video-sharing site, breaking a miraculous record once again.
Hearing the news, PSY commented through YG Entertainment, “I am extremely excited, but also pressured. With gratitude to all of you, I will return with more fun contents soon.” Released on July 15, 2012, PSY’s “GANGNAM STYLE” has broken several records—and today it broke another one by reaching 2 billion views.
