iKON Says “YANG HYUN SUK’s special orders, love and interest made us work harder “

This is what iKON said in an interview with OSEN, which took place at a café in Seokyo-dong in the afternoon of November 16.
When asked “Before the release of iKON’s double singles, YANG HYUN SUK gave special orders. Didn’t you feel a lot of pressure?” B.I answered “Of course, I felt a lot of pressure. But this also means that Mr. Yang cares about us a lot. So I worked hard to write good songs and practiced more so that I won’t disappoint him. It made us work harder.”
BOBBY said “My family gave me strength. My mom and dad have worked really hard. And I feel that I should too.”
The members also said, “When we are together, we always have fun and think of something new. It’s always good to be together. We just talk and fool around but something creative comes out of it.”
iKON released their double single album “WELCOME BACK” on the day of the interview. The title track “APOLOGY” took the No.1 spot of major charts as soon as the album was released. “ANTHEM”, the duet song by B.I and BOBBY, is also working its way up on the charts. “APOLOGY” is a slow R&B song expressing the pains of an unwanted breakup and “ANTHEM” is a powerful rap song. “APOLOGY” and “ANTHEM” is the first collaboration between iKON and YG’s top producer TEDDY. iKON’s B.I and BOBBY also participated in writing the music and the lyrics of both tracks.
iKON swept all the charts with their warm-up single “MY TYPE” in September. The title track of their debut half album “RHYTHM TA” was also a big hit. With “APOLOGY” topping the charts again, iKON has released three hit songs in a row.
