SECHSKIES is coming back. For comeback, SECHSKIES newly created their hit songs from 16 years ago, to add fresh appeals to them. The new versions of the songs have the very style of SECHSKIES, and of course, YG. The new album of SECHSKIES is like a special present for fans, given in celebration of SECHSKIES’ reunion after 16 years of separation.
SECHSKIES is releasing “2016 Re-ALBUM” on December 1. The album has new 2016 versions of SECHSKIES’ hit songs that created sensation 16 years ago. Upon their reunion, SECHSKIES’ past hit songs entered top places on music charts, drawing big popularity from all generations. Thus, the remade songs are also expected to record great hit again.
The new album includes “Couple”, “Com’ Back”, “Hunch”, “Come to Me Baby”, “Chivalry”, “Love”, “Reckless Love”, “Road Fighter”, “Hakwon Byeolgok”, “To You Who I Love”, as well as new song “THREE WORDS” that was released recently. “Couple”, “Chivalry”, and “Couple” are the triple title tracks for the album.
All those songs are hit songs that gave enormous popularity to SECHSKIES during the team’s golden days. They are the songs that represent SECHSKIES. As the songs were so much loved by music fans, it might be burdensome to remake them, but fans seem to have firm trust in YG producers. As the album was planned directly by YG’s CEO YANG HYUN SUK, its quality is expected to be very good.
“Couple” has enjoyed remarkable popularity since it was performed in a guerilla concert of MBC’s entertainment TV show “The Infinite Challenge” this year, to take high ranks on music charts and in TV music shows. It gained a wide recognition from younger generations by being played in drama series “Replay 1997” as well. Thus, the song is expected to become “every Korean’s favorite song” once again. The music video of the new version of “Couple” was shot in Sapporo, Japan, to fully express the feel of winter.
“Love” is dance music with a feel of trot, which talks about breakup. The 2016 version of “Love” unveiled in a teaser video gives a new feel different from its original version, with KANG SUNGHOON’s tender vocal and guitar melody.
“Reckless Love” was newly created by YG producer team’s FUTURE BOUNCE. The original version of the song has a very quick tempo and its lyrics that talk about a secret crush leave deep impression. In its teaser video, Jang Suwon’s tender and sweet appeals are unveiled. Fans are paying keen attention to the new version of “Reckless Love” newly created by talented producer “FUTURE BOUNCE”.
“To You Who I Love” that was sung by the audience of SECHSKIES’ comeback concert in September this year, is a ballad song. All the fans at the concert sang the song unaccompanied, as a special event for SECHSKIES who came back after 16 years of separation. The 2016 version of the song was created by YG producer team’s Robin.
It is worthwhile to look forward to see how SECHSKIES’ new album of hit songs from 16 years ago which are newly created by YG will fascinate music fans of all generations.
