CL&DARA Said, “Thank you for your love. We’ll always be a family.”
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] CL and DARA each wrote a letter to their fans following 2NE1’s disbandment.
On November 29, CL wrote on her Instagram page, “… we will always be one team, one family. Minzy, Bom, Dara will all be doing great things on their own and I will always love and support them. And I hope you all know, YG, the members and I, we all really tried to make things work. I left everything behind and was in Korea all summer working on our album, but it fell apart… tough times…”
She added, “What we have to remember is that we made amazing memories for the last 7 years together and I wouldn’t have had it in any other way, with any other group of people. From 2NE1 TV, all the awards, all the shows…. you guys made it possible.”
DARA also posted a picture of her handwritten letter on her Instagram page. She said, “I never knew I would be writing such a letter. First of all, I’m sorry for breaking your hearts, I’m sorry I couldn’t keep us together, and I’m sorry for causing you pain. The past seven years were like a dream because of you guys, and it’ll be remembered fondly with happiness. CL, BOM, MINZY and I, the four of us will always be grateful and forever treasure those times as good memories.”
She went on to say, “I know it hurts so much now, but I hope you guys cheer up and do well in all you do. Thank you so much for your big love.”
YG Entertainment officially announced the disbandment of 2NE1 on November 25.
Following is the full text of CL’s letter.
Dear Blackjacks,
I don’t even know where to start but I just wanted to let you guys know that we are still here and we will always be one team, one family.
Minzy, Bom, Dara will all be doing great things on their own and I will always love and support them. And I hope you all know, YG, the members and I, we all really tried to make things work.
