“Debut” ONE, Making a new start with YG… “Touched by YANG HYUN SUK’s cheering text message”
[스포츠조선=박영웅 기자] ONE who is making a new start for his career with YG talked about how he feels now.
On July 11 in the afternoon, ONE hosted a media day event in celebration of the release of his first single album “ONE DAY” at CGV Cheongdam Cine City located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The album’s title “ONE DAY” was given to symbolize ONE’s ambition to express his ambivalent appeals like a day in which the day and night co-exist.
In the media day event, ONE said, “TEDDY and KUSH gave me words of good advice. I look forward to my new beginning. I sent a text message to Mr. YANG HYUN SUK and he replied, ‘Do your best and stay health’. I was so touched by his message”.
ONE went on to say, “I put many of the feelings I had when I was writing ‘Gettin’ by’ in the song. The song expresses the feelings of ONE aged 23. I tried to express the sex appeal that exists in me in ‘heyahe’.”
The lyrics of “Gettin’ by” were written by ONE by himself and the melody was composed by ONE and AOMG’s producer Cha Cha Malone together. The song calmly talks about the feeling of past love that is fading away after breakup. “heyahe”, the other title track of ONE’s debut single album, was jointly composed by ONE and producing group Groovy Room. Its sensual lyrics that skillfully control the tone leave a very deep impression.
ONE’s debut single will be released on-line on July 11 at 6PM and the off-line album will be released on the 14.
