[일간스포츠=김연지 기자] iKON’s BOBBY has unveiled “RUNAWAY”, the title of the second title track of his first solo album to be released within a week.
On September 7 in the morning, YG Entertainment released two teaser posters for “RUNAWAY”, the second title track of BOBBY’s first solo album. The sentimental facial expression of BOBBY who seems to have inner pain creates a subtly impressive harmony with the background of the sea under cloudy sky in the posters.
The melody and lyrics of “RUNAWAY” were directly written by BOBBY. It sings about “breaking away from tedious daily lives” that everyone might have dreamt of once or twice, based on BOBBY’s in-depth contemplation and thoughts about his own life. The simple code development and a cool sound with refreshing guitar tone stands out in the song. BOBBY tried a new atmosphere and style with the song, differently from intense hip-hop songs that he has presented so far.
Not only BOBBY but also well-known producer CHOICE 37 who has created many hit songs of BIGBANG and 2NE1 also took part in writing the melody and lyrics of “RUNAWAY”. As BOBBY and CHOICE37 has worked together on iKON’s hit song “WYD#” and MOBB’s “HIT ME” and “FULL HOUSE”, music fans are interested in the synergy between the two as well.
On September 5, BOBBY hinted on a change in the style of his music by releasing the teaser posters of “I LOVE YOU”, the main title track of his new solo album. As such, BOBBY’s solo album will reveal the diverse and colorful world of BOBBY’s music.
BOBBY’s new solo album project is drawing keen attention, as he is the first member of an YG group who releases a solo album, except for BIGBANG members. The album will be released on September 14 at 6PM.
