SECHSKIES Says, “The past year was unbelievable, the happiest time of our lives.”
[enews24=김지연 기자] SECHSKIES said that time flew fast after their reunion and that it was the happiest time of their lives.
On September 21, a press conference was held at Chungdam Cine City, Seoul to celebrate the release of SECHSKIES’s fifth album “ANOTHER LIGHT”.
KIM JAEDUCK said, “The past year flew by. Looking back, it was indeed the happiest time of my life. I’ve never felt happier. There wasn’t time to get tired. We released one EP after another and did concerts. I felt so happy to be meeting so many people and fans.”
KANG SUNGHOON said, “Singers mostly release EPs nowadays. That’s why we started off with EPs, but now we’re about to release our fifth album. The past year was a preview, and now it’s a proper beginning. What makes me most happy is that we can directly communicate with our fans now. We were hidden behind closed doors before, but now things are different. Our members are like real brothers now, and I feel relaxed and happy.”
LEE JAEJIN commented, “Our reunion last year was hard. We had no time to take a breath before our 20th anniversary. We have many plans for our 20th anniversary celebrations such as exhibitions. We have a story to tell because of our fans. It was a time for me to really learn to appreciate our fans.”
The album “ANOTHER LIGHT” will be released at 6 PM, and its title means that the album shows SECHKIES’s new concept and its unique color and light. SECHSKIES is seeking to break its image of being the first generation idol group, and this album will give the fans a glimpse into what their music will be like in the future.
“SOMETHING SPECIAL”, one of the title tracks, is an upbeat song with warm lyrics about the loved one. The other title song, “SMILE”, is a sad song that accentuates SECHSKIES’s vocal skills. The two very different title tracks show that SECHSKIES made a big change in their music and that they have confidence.
The album, which contains nine new songs, will be a chance to see SECHSKIES doing a wide range of genres from disco to pop and hip-hop.
