iKON “Soon to come back with new songs… Will present fancy performances”

[스타뉴스=윤상근 기자] Idol group iKON said that they will soon come back with new songs. 

iKON attended a ceremony of appointing the team as the PR ambassador of the 2017 Ho Chi Minh Korean Wave Expo, which was hosted on October 23 at 2PM at the conference hall on the first basement level of the headquarter office of KOTRA in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.  In the ceremony, iKON’s member B.I said, “iKON will come back with a new album soon. We’ll present fancy performances and songs”.

iKON was appointed as the PR ambassador for the Ho Chi Minh Korean Wave Expo at the ceremony. iKON’s member B.I said, “We’re happily enjoying what we do. We believe that if we enjoy our work in Vietnam in the same way with what we’re doing now, we’ll be able to help the success of the Korean Wave Expo”.  

JU-NE talked about the secret of iKON’s remarkable popularity in Vietnam, saying, “We’ve always enjoyed performing on the stage itself and made efforts to see our fans with affection. I think fans have recognized that and also, our happy mindset and our handsome appearances have contributed to our popularity”. 

After their debut in September 2015, iKON has built solid recognition in the global pop music market with the great success of their albums including debut album “Welcome Back” that took No.1 on the iTunes albums chart of 11 countries. Notably, the number of followers of iKON’s official Instagram account reaches 670,000 and the number of iKON’s followers on the official Facebook account for Vietnam is as large as 110,000. 

iKON will work as the PR ambassador for the Korean Wave Expo along with YG PLUS’ “KRUNK”, the mascot character of YG. KRUNK gained recognition for the first time by appearing in the music video of LEE HI’s “It’s Over” in 2013.
