TREASURE’s ‘MMM’ Dance Performance… Swag and Presence Presented Through 18 Seconds
[스타뉴스=윤상근 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE will reveal 18 seconds of their Hip-hop title track ‘MMM’ and its dance clip five times every midnight. It is an unprecedented promotion method and will reveal half the song, which is approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds, prior to the release of their album.
On October 2, YG Entertainment uploaded the first dance performance teaser for TREASURE’s ‘MMM’ through their official blog, notifying the beginning of the promotion.
TREASURE presented charismatic dance moves full of swag in sync with the sensuous Hip-hop instrumental which decorated the intro of ‘MMM’ from 0 to 18 seconds, grabbing the people’s eyes and ears in an instant.
After appearing in a line, TREASURE covered their mouths with their hands and began walking with the lyrics ‘Mmm~’. The 12 members then crossed with each other, presenting disciplined and well-planned out choreography moves.
The video paused on the following first verse, when member HARUTO began rapping, ‘I’m surprised~’ with his deep vocals at 18 seconds. It raised the people’s curiosities on the rapping and following dance moves, making the viewers think ‘I’m surprised’.
The song contained YG’s unique Hip-hop swag and charisma through its sounds and dance moves, unlike the fierceness shown through TREASURE’s debut song ‘BOY’ and the title track ‘I LOVE YOU’ from their second single album.
YG has previously revealed that TREASURE’s ‘MMM’ is a typical Hip-hop track in 80 BPM.
