TREASURE Tops Japanese Music Chart ‘3 Consecutive Times’ Through ‘MMM’
[스포츠월드=정가영 기자] Rookie group TREASURE was ranked at no. 1 on a major Japanese music chart with their new song ‘MMM’.
The title song ‘MMM’ from TREASURE’s third single album was ranked at no. 1 on the Top 100 chart of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, as of November 7 at 8 AM. The song was also ranked at no. 1 on Rakuten Music’s Real-time Comprehensive Rankings. The K-Pop group who has made debut 3 months ago has topped charts in Japan 3 consecutive times without any local promotional activities.
TREASURE has created waves with the title song ‘BOY’ from their first single album and ‘I LOVE YOU’ from their second single album in Japan, rising steadily. This time, they topped charts as soon as they released their new single album.
The MV with TREASURE’s unique Hip-hop groove and fierce performances is also popular. The MV for ‘MMM’ has surpassed 4M views in 14 hours since its release on YouTube. It is a faster pace than ‘I LOVE YOU’, which surpassed 10M views in approximately 72 hours.
TREASURE has been spotlighted as a major rookie group of YG and was called the ‘little brother group of BIGBANG’, with Japanese members including YOSHI, MASHIHO, ASAHI, and HARUTO. After beginning their full-scale activities in Korea, the group is capturing the hearts of many global fans and Japanese fans.
Their new song ‘MMM’ is a Hybrid Trap song with a catchy groove and Hip-hop sounds, which is one of YG’s biggest strengths. The metallic sounds that reminds the listeners of gun shots and the chorography that explodes on beat are raising anticipation on their live performance.
