BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ 3D Avatar Dance Video Surpasses 100M Views
[일간스포츠=황소영 기자] BLACKPINK’s 3D avatar dance performance video of ‘Ice Cream’ has surpassed 100M views. It is BLACKPINK’s 26th video to surpass 100M views.
According to YG Entertainment on the 20th, BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ dance practice video has surpassed 100M views on YouTube as of 7:30 AM.
The record was achieved in approximately 5 months since its release. Unlike their existing MVs and dance practice videos, the video only featured the 3D avatars of BLACKPINK members. The fact that the video surpassed 100M views without the appearance of actual BLACKPINK members proves the group’s global presence.
The ‘Ice Cream’ dance performance video was created under the collaboration between BLACKPINK and ZEPETO. ZEPETO is a global AR avatar service operated by Naver Z, and has presented BLACKPINK’s 3D avatars for the first-time last year on June.
BLACKPINK has presented unique contents by collaborating with ZEPETO and has presented positive synergy effects, expanding their communication channels with the global fans. They’ve not only presented a 3D avatar video but also held the world’s first virtual fan signing event, which received favorable reviews.
‘Ice Cream’ is a song with cute and fresh concepts released by BLACKPINK for the first time, rather than their usual girl-crush charms. It is a Pop genre song with a simple rhythm and exciting sounds, and is being loved by numerous global music fans for the group’s collaboration with Pop star Selena Gomez.
In fact, the song entered the iTunes Worldwide chart as no. 1 as soon as the song was released, as well as entering the US Billboard ‘Hot 100’ as no. 13, renewing their own best K-Pop girl group record. The song was also placed on the top ranks of major overseas music charts including Spotify’s Global Top 40 chart, the US Top 50 chart, and UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 40.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK’s presence is growing stronger day by day on YouTube, which is one of the major platforms leading the change of the global music trend. BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel currently has over 57.4M subscribers. They are the most subscribed female artist in the world and is currently right behind Justin Bieber, who is the most subscribed artist in the world(60.9M).
After completing their livestream concert ‘THE SHOW’, BLACKPINK is about to release their solo projects. The global fans are highly anticipating the projects after ROSÉ revealed her first performance of ‘GONE’, the sub-title track from her upcoming solo album.
