[OSEN=선미경 기자] Rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is receiving an explosive response on YouTube for their debut performance at the ‘ MAMA AWARDS’ showcasing their powerful stage presence and performance.

According to YG Entertainment on the 1st, the main stage and special stage videos of BABYMONSTER’s performances at the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ (hereinafter ‘MAMA’) posted on Mnet’s official YouTube channel ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in views among all acts who performed across both nights. This highlights BABYMONSTER’s overwhelming presence, especially notable for a group in just their second year since debut.

The undisputed highlight was the cover stage of ‘What It Sounds Like’ and ‘Golden’ by members PHARITA, AHYEON, and RORA. Despite the songs requiring high-level vocal techniques, global fans praised their unwavering live vocals, explosive high notes delivered without pause, and BABYMONSTER’s immense potential, living up to their title as ‘live performance powerhouses.’

The video capturing this stage is drawing intense global attention, currently nearing 5.4 million views. It surpassed their own “WE GO UP + DRIP” stage from part one (3.77 million views) in just about 12 hours, reflecting a sharp upward trend that continues to generate high expectations.

BABYMONSTER has consistently proven their ability to generate massive buzz with every stage they perform. Previously, their appearances on year-end shows like Gayo Daejeon, and online content such as It’s Live and THE FIRST TAKE, have earned praise for their distinctive live vocal ability, with each video achieving millions to tens of millions of views.

At this year’s MAMA, BABYMONSTER also won the main award, ‘Worldwide Fans’ Choice’. In their acceptance speech, they said, “It’s such an honor to receive such a wonderful award for our first MAMA appearance. We believe this award was made possible thanks to MONSTIEZ (fandom),” adding, “We’re grateful to be sharing and creating memories with you at this very moment. Please continue to watch over us, we’ll keep working hard and growing as artists.”
