BABYMONSTER Does It Again… No. 1 on YouTube Worldwide
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] Group BABYMONSTER has topped YouTube’s Worldwide Trending chart.
According to YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER unveiled the performance video for “MOON,” a track from their third mini album, on August 5.
Since May, BABYMONSTER has been carrying out a large-scale project, releasing four music videos and two choreography videos, among other content. The performance video, unveiled amid fans’ high anticipation, also drew an enthusiastic response with the group’s overwhelming charisma and outstanding performance skills.
In particular, in line with the lyrics “I’m the moon,” the point choreography shaped like the moon, the flawless group dance, and the members’ exceptional expressiveness stood out. The grillz and sunglasses styling, which maximized the vampire-inspired imagery, also added to the visual appeal.
Following the “MOON” music video, this performance video also rose to No. 1 on YouTube’s Worldwide Trending chart. Attention is focused on BABYMONSTER as they continue to enjoy a double wave of popularity.
BABYMONSTER released their third mini album “CHOOM” in May. With this new release, they achieved notable milestones, including No. 1 on iTunes charts in 19 regions and on the Worldwide Albums chart, sales of more than 750,000 copies in about a week after release, and their first entry on the U.S. mainstream radio chart.
BABYMONSTER is currently carrying out their second world tour. Starting with the Seoul concert, they will meet fans around the world through 29 shows in 18 cities across five continents, including Japan, Asia, North America, Europe, and South America.
