Preview of MIX & MATCH: The End of Long Journey
[스타뉴스 이지현 기자] The preview of the final episode of MIX & MATCH, YG Entertainment’s program to finalize the members of its newest boy band, iKON, was unveiled.
In the preview, the last 180 days of the 9 members was featured.
Through China-Japan-Korea global fan-meeting voting, text and Facebook voting conducted on Oct 30, the members were selected 30% by the judges and 70% by the viewers. The selected ones will be the final members of iKON.
The preview showed fans queuing to vote after the final watch, yelling “iKON, you’ve done well” to the members who devoted everything in the fierce survival match.
The voting of YG Family was also shown. From EPIK HIGH, TABLO, AKDONG MUSICIAN to Final Match’s MC YOO IN NA and DAESUNG, G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and the Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK, they all casted their precious votes on members.
B.I, one of the three fixed members, commented, “When time passes, today will be the most memorable day,” while BOBBY said, “Both iKON and I will continue to develop.” KIM JINHWAN added, “We want to be a true icon, like the name of our group.”
Through the official blog at 0 hour on Nov 4, YG announced KOO JUNHOE as the first to pass the battle. At 0 hour on Nov 5, the second member will be announced. Another one will be announced at 0 hour of Nov 6. In the final episode of MIX & MATCH to be aired at 11 pm on Nov 6, the final member will be announced.
The 7 members who will be in iKON will continue on the reputation as YG’s boy band, opening BIGBANG’s Japan’s 5 Largest Dome Tour from Nov 15 and 16 in Nagoya. They will then begin the preparation for their debut in full force.
