TREASURE’s 3rd Comeback in 3 Months, YG-Style Hip-hop… Song Titled ‘MMM’
[OSEN=김은애 기자] YG Entertainment revealed the title poster for TREASURE’s third single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE’ through their official blog on October 28. The Korean and English typography of ‘MMM’ on the poster stirred up the people’s imagination.
The people are looking forward to TREASURE’s upcoming comeback, since the group will be presenting Hip-hop, which is the biggest strength among music released by YG.
TREASURE’s debut song ‘BOY’ or the title song ‘I LOVE YOU’ from their second single album combined EDM and Pop, which grabbed the people’s ears with fast and exciting sounds. The song ‘MMM’ is a song in typical Hip-hop genre with a BPM of 80, YG revealed.
YG explained, “The tempo is slower than the previous releases, but it will be a song sending off a stronger impression” and added, “Please look forward to TREASURE’s new song and performances”.
TREASURE’s change in styling also grabbed the people’s attention. All 12 members wore simple black outfits unlike the school uniforms they wore for ‘I LOVE YOU’, emitting their deepened charisma.
Furthermore, the members covered their faces with one hand, which seemed to be a performance move for ‘MMM’, making the fans look forward to their dynamic group performances.
TREASURE has grown significantly in the global music market under YG’s fast·concentration strategy after their debut back in August 7. The 2 single albums they’ve released until now have sold almost 500 thousand copies, while songs ‘BOY’ and ‘I LOVE YOU’ were placed on the top ranks of various global charts in Japan and China.
TREASURE’s third single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE’ will be released on November 6. Physical copies will become available on November 13 through YG SELECT and nationwide retailers online and offline.
