TREASURE, “Fast Comeback Under YG’s Full-Hearted Support, We’ll Present Fresh Shocks”
[스포츠조선=백지은 기자] YG Entertainment(hereby YG) notified the fast comeback of boy group TREASURE.
TREASURE will release their third single ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE’ on November 6 at 6 PM. It will be their comeback in a month and a half since the release of their second single ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO’ on September 18. It is in 100 days since they’ve made debut. TREASURE has released 3 single albums in the meantime and will release their official debut album next year. Considering that BLACKPINK from the same agency took 4 years to release their official debut album, the pace is very fast.
PARK JEONG WOO stated, “I’m happy to make a fast comeback and present myself in various ways”, BANG YE DAM stated “I’m grateful that I can make new challenges every time”, CHOI HYUN SUK stated “I’m happy to strengthen our teamwork by communicating and keep being active”, while YOSHI stated, “We’ll visit you in different charms. We’ll present our fierce aspects to give you a fresh shock”.
JIHOON revealed, “We are releasing consecutive new singles to present ourselves in various ways in a short period of time. The fact that we’ve prepared TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series is one of the reasons why we were able to make a fast comeback. I’m grateful that a rookie group was allowed to release 3 single albums within 100 days. People from the agency and the staff members helped us a lot, and we’re happy and proud to leave those results in our artist discography. We worked hard thinking that we can show our passion towards music”.
The title song ‘MMM’ is a Hybrid Trap song with a strong groove. It shows that the theme of their previous two singles, ‘emotions of a boy in love’, has reached its peak.
TREASURE proudly explained, “The song is in Hip-hop genre which will lead you with TREASURE’s secretive whispers. We will present Hip-hop in a YOUNG mood in addition to our charisma and powerful group moves”.
The members’ high degree of participation also grabbed the people’s attention. CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI, and HARUTO were credited as lyricists, while ASAHI put his self-composed track to present his musical growth.
CHOI HYUN SUK stated, “It was good to express ourselves by doing the rap making”, while YOSHI stated, “I’m grateful to express my thoughts and emotions of my 20s through lyrics”.
ASAHI stated, “I participated in the writing and composing of ‘Orange’. I made the song early this year in my room, since I thought of the topline of the song. I made the beat and played it to HARUTO. HARUTO rapped on it and recorded it. I made a lot of suggestions and participated when we recorded. I think I’m continuing to grow, being able to select instruments and sounds that will go well with the songs”.
HARUTO added, “I wrote the lyrics late at night after receiving the beat for ‘Orange’ from ASAHI. The beat was really good, so it was natural. I’m grateful to participate”.
YG Entertainment also gave their full-hearted support. The MV for ‘MMM’ utilizes YG’s new headquarters in full scale, while artists from YG also supported the group.
DOYOUNG stated, “It was fun and meaningful to present our new headquarters through the ‘I LOVE YOU’ video. We utilized the headquarters a lot while shooting the MV for ‘MMM’. It was amazing just like a set”. BANG YE DAM proudly stated, “I felt that our new headquarters was built for the future while shooting the MV for ‘MMM’. It’s the best landmark in my heart”, while YOON JAE HYUK laughed after stating, “It’s amazing that we even have a convenience store inside”.
CHOI HYUN SUK revealed, “Since we’re the youngest, our senior artists always give us attention and shares warm words without just passing by. We’re always grateful that they remember us and cheer us”.
