What truly stunned audiences, however, was their decision to perform the song live in its original key, which
drew explosive reactions.
The original version of “Golden” is known among music fans as a highly difficult track with extreme vocal range, often dubbed a “live-impossible” song. Nonetheless, BABYMONSTER boldly took on the challenge to convey the full narrative and message of hope embedded in the song, and did so flawlessly. To faithfully recreate the vibrant characters from the animated film, the group paid close attention to costumes, hair, and makeup, raising the level of immersion in their stage. As a result, reaction videos, illustrations, and fan edits have flooded social media and online communities.
The response from fans has been intense. Many expressed disbelief that such a high-level performance could be delivered live in the original key, and praised the group’s exceptional vocal skills and stage command. Comments poured in highlighting the near-perfect execution of the stage, with some calling it a legendary performance that showcased not only technical ability but also the confidence and composure that comes from true talent. Comments included “It’s hard to believe they pulled this off live, in the original key.” “Vocals so powerful, they’re awe-inspiring.” “No one could’ve done it better.” “Even the final ad-lib shows confidence backed by real talent.”
