WINNER Successfully Wrap Up “WINNER 1st JAPAN TOUR 2014,” Drawing 25,000 Fans
[조이뉴스24 정명화기자] YG Entertainment(YG)’s boy band WINNER successfully completed their first Japan tour concert.
On Sept. 10, WINNER released its Japanese debut album “2014 S/S – JAPAN COLLECTION” which was listed as No. 2 on the Oricon Daily and Weekly Album Chart, and on the next day, they began the Japan tour starting with the “ZEPP TOKYO” concert.
The Japanese concert tour “WINNER 1st Japan Tour 2014” kicked off in Tokyo and was followed by concerts in Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, and in Tokyo again on Oct. 10 and 11, performing at 11 concerts in five cities. WINNER’s Japan tour drew 25,000 local fans.
WINNER took the stage of their finale concert with self-written and composed songs with stage designs that reminded of the streets of New York City and the 2,600 fans who came to see their last show were absolutely drawn to their performances.
WINNER entertained the fans by performing various songs such as “GO UP,” which was showcased during “WIN: Who Is Next,” “empty,” “Color Ring,” SONG MIN HO and NAM TAE HYUN’s solo performances, and collaboration performances of each member.
Toward the end of the show, KANG SEUNG YOON said, “I believe each member of WINNER can unite as one through music and this Japan tour proved just that” adding, “Although we still have a lot a lot to work on and improve, we promise our fans that we will continue to work hard to become better.” All members shed tears when fans held up papers that said “Thank You WINNER” during their encore performance.
After successfully completing their first Japan tour, WINNER is now scheduled to appear on TAEYANG’s solo concert on Oct. 12 at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul.
